Troubleshooting
Use this page to diagnose equipment problems and provide potential solutions. We do NOT recommend you take any action without consulting our technical support department, unless you are a qualified technician or are fully confident in your abilities. Commercial Section
Nothing happens when I turn the bed on ( click to expand )- It is possible that there is no power to the bed; Check the plug and breaker.
- If the emergency stop button is engaged, it must be disengaged.
- Ensure that the remote timer is properly connected.
- Check the following items and replace if necessary:
- Relay
- Remote wall switch
- Remote timer
- Microswitch (units with HPF lamps)
- Emergency stop
- Overrule Timer
Lamp(s) do not turn on ( click to expand )After ensuring that there is no loose wiring at the ballast, lampholder, or terminal (tighten if so), check the following items and replace if necessary:
- Lamps
- Starter
- Ballast
Bench lamps will not ignite ( click to expand )- Ensure that the bench is plugged into the canopy.
- Check for loose wiring at bench-to-canopy connector, and tighten if necessary.
- If the bench-to-canopy connector contains a burnt wire, strip the wire and replace the connector.
Cooling fans run constantly ( click to expand )The 3 minute cooldown timer may need to be replaced.
Cooling fans run intermittently ( click to expand )The 3 minute cooldown timer may need to be replaced.
High pressure facial(s) run sporadically ( click to expand )- This may be the result of low voltage; Check your voltage and install a buck and boost transformer (buckbooster) if necessary.
- A weak Starter may need to be replaced.
- Ensure that the starter connection is not loose.
Bed will not run a full session ( click to expand )Check the following timer mechanisms and replace if necessary:
- Remote timer
- Overrule timer
- Dial/Digital timer
Facial lamps do not ignite ( click to expand )- Check for loose wire @ terminal block to facial ballasts, tighten if necessary.
- Ensure lamps are installed correctly.
- Check the following items and replace if necessary:
- Facial switch
- Lamps
- Ballast
- Lampholder
Unit seems unusually hot ( click to expand )- Ensure that fans are clean.
- If the unit is too close to a wall, it should be moved away to ensure proper ventilation.
- If the room temperature is too high (without the influence of the bed), increase ventilation / air conditioning.
- Ensure that there is no loose wiring to the fans.
- 3 minute cooldown timer may need to be replaced if all fans are not functioning.
Canopy will not stay up or down ( click to expand )- Ensure that shocks are positioned properly.
- Unit may have incorrect or malfunctioning shocks; these should be replaced.
Residential Section

- The wiring to the bed's dial timer may be loose; tighten it if so.
- Check and replace Relay if necessary (Select 28 only).
- Check wiring at Relay and tighten if needed (Select 28 only).
Lamp(s) do not turn on ( click to expand )After ensuring that there is no loose wiring at the ballast, lampholder, or terminal (tighten if so), check the following items and replace if necessary:
- Lamps
- Starter
- Ballast
- Lampholder
Bench lamps will not ignite ( click to expand )This problem is most commonly caused by a disconnect between the canopy and bench.
- Ensure that the canopy is plugged into the bench.
- Check for loose wiring betwen bench and canopy.
- If there is a burnt wire in the bench to canopy connector, strip the wire and replace the connector.
Fans work, but lamps do not ( click to expand )- Check for loose wiring at terminal block or at relay and tighten if needed.
- Check and replace relay if necessary (Select 28 only).
Bed does not shut off after session ( click to expand )- This may be caused by a bad timer, which will need to be replaced.
- Blue wire at the timer may be loose; tighten the wire if so.
Timer ticks or buzzes ( click to expand )- The timer may be faulty and must be replaced.
- Timer may be wired incorrectly: Ensure that the blue wire is on "B1" instead of "B."
